Hailed by the New York Times as 'an eloquent and graceful player with a keen rhythmic sense and an exact command of colour', American pianist Douglas Ashcraft has been receiving acclaim for solo and chamber performances given throughout the United States and Europe. He accompanied Kate Pirce on her New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall in June 1998.

A prizewinner in many competitions, he began his formal training with Aldo Mancinelli,and later continue them with John Perry at the University of Southern California and the Aspen Music School. Douglas Ashcraft has been heard on radio stations WQXR and KUSC. He has twice been a featured performer at Amsterdam's Concertgebeouw as part of the Holland Music Sessions, and maintains an increasingly active schedule of recital and concert appearances. Highlights of the 1998-99 season include broadcasts for American and British radio and television.
